Title: Tuples of commuting nonselfadjoint operators and rational transformations of algebraic curves
We review the results of Naftali Kravitsky z"l showing how the classical formulas of elimination theory explain why the notion of an operator vessel is a natural generalization of the notion of an operator colligation/node for tuples of commuting nonselfadjoint operators. Then we present a generalization of the classical elimination theory which allows us to treat arbitrary rational transformations of tuples of commuting nonselfadjoint operators.
