The Department of Mathematics at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel is inviting applications for:

Candidates should have completed recently (not more than 4 years ago), or be about to complete, a Ph.D. in mathematics. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to cooperate with members of the department or with the research groups within the department.

  • Non-Teaching Positions: the Center for Advanced Studies in Mathematics, supported by the Skirball foundation, sponsors several postdoctoral positions every year. Review of applications begins usually at the end of December, but in exceptional cases the applications can be considered all year round.

  • Teaching Positions: Candidates capable of teaching in Hebrew can apply for teaching postdoctoral fellowships. The starting date for these positions is usually October 1.

  • Applicants are strongly encouraged to specify the researchers closest to their research area and to contact those researchers directly.

  • American applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for a Fullbright Fellowship which provides a substantial stipend awarded in addition to the customary postdoctoral fellowship offered by the Mathematics department.

    Applications must be submitted early; for example the deadline was August 1st, 2013 for the fellowship corresponding to the academic year 2014/15.

  • Canadian applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for a fellowship in the Azrieli Fellows Program, which provides a substantial stipend.

  • French applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for a Chateaubriand Fellowship which provides a substantial stipend. Applications must be submitted until the second half of December each year.

  • China/India applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for the special scholarship

  • American/Canadian aplicants (or applicants with documented status in US/Canada) can apply for the Zuckerman scholarship

The Department of Mathematics at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel is inviting applications for tenure track positions at all levels.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics, and demonstrate excellence in research and teaching. Candidates in all areas of mathematics will be considered. Mathematicians whose research lies in the area of Mathematical Statistics and Data Science are encouraged to apply. All positions require teaching in Hebrew.

Applications will be reviewed on a continuing basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply before November 1, although late applications may be considered until the positions are filled.

The applicant should send a resume, a research statement, and a few selected works to the address below. In addition, the department will ask for reference letters directly from researchers, to be chosen by the department. Due to internal regulations, we are prevented from using reference letters requested directly by the applicant. Nevertheless, applicants may supply a list of 4-5 experts in their field as possible references, although the department is not obligated to use this list.
