School on Arithmetic Groups.

SPONSORS: The School is funded by the European research council (ERC) the Israel science foundation (ISF) and the Center for Advanced Studies in Mathematics at Ben-Gurion University.
DESCRIPTION: The School will focus on Arithmetic Groups. The five main courses will be:
Mini-Courses:
Higher rank lattices rigidity and arithmeticity, Tsachik Gelander (Weizmann).
Exotic lattices, Pierre-Emmanuel Caprace (U.C. Louvin)
Strong approximation in linear groups, Nikolay Nikolov (Oxford).
Arithmetic hyperbolic 3-manifolds, Nicolas Bergeron (Jussieu)
The congruence subgroup property, Nir Avni (Northwestern).
FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Local expenses (lodging and board at Ein-Gedi) will be covered by the conference for all participants. Graduate students will be housed in double rooms - please indicate in the registration form if you have any preferences for room sharing. Depending on our budget, we might be able to help with the the travel expenses of graduate students or post-docs. Please indicate in the registration form if you require such assistance.
ARRIVAL AND SCHEDULE: Before purchasing flight tickets please consult the travel section. In short: the first lectures will be held Sunday 16:00. The main courses will commence Monday morning. The last lectures will finish by Friday at noon. We will have a few shuttles going from the Airport to Ein-Gedi on Sunday and returning shuttles on Friday. Information about these Shuttles will be posted in the next few days.
