Quasicrystals, Delone sets and Generalizations of Lattices

March 11 – 16, 2018 at Ohalo, Israel



DESCRIPTION: The workshop will consist of four main mini-courses and several additional lectures.
The workshop will take place on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, at Ohalo Manor Hotel.
Mini-Courses:
The space of quasicrystals and applications to mathematical physics, Jens Marklof (Bristol) & Andreas Strömbergsson (Uppsala).
The topology of spaces of discrete point sets, Lorenzo Sadun (Austin).
Approximate lattices, Michael Björklund (Chalmers University).
Fourier quasicrystals, Nir Lev (Bar-Ilan University).
ARRIVAL AND SCHEDULE: The first lectures will be held on Sunday at 14:00 (2PM). The main courses will commence Monday morning. The last lectures will finish by Friday at noon. We will have a few shuttles going from Tel Aviv and from the Airport to Ohalo on Sunday, and returning shuttles on Friday. Information about these Shuttles will be available later.
