I am going to describe old and new results related to Inner, Outer and Ambient Lipschitz geometry of germs of Real semi-algebraic and definable surfaces.  The subject is closely related to non-archimedean geometry and Knot Theory.   No preliminary knowledge in Lipschitz Geometry is required.

The use of the Frobenius map to understand singularities in positive characteristics has been a crucial and important tool in modern algebraic geometry. In addition, it allows us to develop ”characteristic p“ analogous to several technique over complex varieties that use differetial forms and L^2 analysis. In this talk we focus on the concept of the F-pure threshold, show how we can compute it in several cases, and how we can use it to bound the log canonical threshold of complex polynomials. I will talk a bit about my father, the people who helped him mathematically here and elsewhere, and i will describe some open problems in combinatorics and number theory that he left behind.
